Broker/REALTOR®

About Me

I moved to Wilmington in January 1973 as a sophomore at UNC-W and am now thrilled to call Wilmington home.  I view life as exciting and enjoyable because of the area’s coastal lifestyle and am proud to assist Buyers & Sellers of residential real estate "from Course to Coast".  I  specialize in golf course & beach properties, in and around Wilmington, just minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean.

Originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, I moved with my family to Durham, NC in 1967. I am a 1988 graduate of UNC-CH and earned my Virginia Real Estate License in 1989, my North Carolina Real Estate Salesman License in 1990, and NC Brokers License in 2003.  I am a REALTOR® and belong to the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), the North Carolina Association of Realtors® (NCAR) and the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors® (WRAR).

My experience includes Residential Real Estate sales/investing; Television Advertising Sales; Security Alarm Systems design/sales; and Restaurant Management. For additional training & education, I have earned these professional designations: "Graduate, REALTORS® Institute" (GRI); Council of Residential Specialists (CRS); e-PRO Technology Training Program (e-Pro); and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).

I am proud to have served my community on the New Hanover County (NHC) Citizen Advisory Committee, the Wilmington Golf Course Advisory Committee; the NHC Port, Beaches, & Waterway Commission; and the First Tee Golf program of Wilmington. From 2009-2010 I served on the NHC Board of Equalization & Review and as Chairman in 2011-2012.  I am currently serving as a Director for the North Carolina Association of Realtors® & as President Elect 2016 for WRAR.

My wife, Lynn, is a CCIM Commercial Real Estate Broker and our entire focus is on advising our clients with their real estate sales or acquisitions.  Our son is a graduate of New Hanover High School, an Eagle Scout with Troop 13, and a Freshman at NSCU.  We enjoy golf, snow skiing, boating/fishing, swimming, baseball, and of course, the beautiful beaches close to Wilmington.
